Behavioural Therapy Clinic

  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Clinic

The clinic aims to provide children with a variety of skills to guide their behavior in order to achieve effective and appropriate integration with the surrounding community and increase their independence in the different social settings (school, home, daycare and other facilities in their social environment). Behavioral analysis relies on behavioral psychology strategies and behavior modification.

The clinic provides therapy to children 1 through 18 years of age who are diagnosed with:

  1. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  2. Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
  3. Developmental and cognitive delays.
  4. Other behavioral disorders (shyness/social anxiety, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), attachment disorder, conduct disorders, aggression, etc.)

The clinic is managed by the behavior therapy specialist Reem Yacoub who is specialized in the field of child development (Master in Human Development and Early Childhood Disorders). The work in the clinic is based on the internationally recognized ABA assessment and therapeutic tools such as ABBLS-R for children with ASD and other therapeutic methods for different behavioral disorders.

Note: It is very important for parents and school teachers to be compliant and committed to the behavior modification plan of the child, in order to extinguish inappropriate behaviors in the child and help him/her gain positive and acceptable behaviors in different social situations. They play a vital role in helping the child generalize what he/she learns in the individual therapy sessions to his/her natural environment on a daily basis.
